Men's breakfast is exactly what it sound's like, namely breakfast for men, of the village and surrounding area, held on the first Saturday of each month.
All (men) are welcome and a hearty breakfast is prepared, cooked and cleared away by a team of volunteers. The full English is the mainstay, but more adventurous alternatives are occasionally served, including kedgeree and kippers with scrambled egg.
It is run by the two village churches to provide an opportunity for the local men (non-church goers and members of the churches alike) to meet together and enjoy each other's company. The session is completely informal, but finishes with an invitation to publicise any relevant village activities, including those of the churches. Participants are encouraged to make a donation of £3 to cover costs.
It is held in the school rooms behind the Methodist church, starts at 8am and closes at 9-ish.
Please contact Julian Thorne (01803 814 170) if you would like to know more information.
